Privacy Policy

This page describes how the CommandShot website and app handle information. The app is designed for local-first screenshot workflows.

Website analytics

This website may use Vercel Web Analytics and optional Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns and button engagement.

Analytics data is used to improve site performance and clarity. We do not run a marketing email list on this launch page.

Purchases and transactional email

If you purchase CommandShot, Stripe processes the payment and we store the minimum purchase details needed to issue and support your license, including your email address, Stripe identifiers, and the license keys generated for that purchase.

We use your email address to send your license keys and support follow-up requests such as resending the latest purchase bundle. We do not use purchase emails to subscribe you to a marketing list from this launch page.

App data handling

CommandShot monitors your selected screenshot folder locally on your Mac to detect newly created screenshot files.

Screenshot files and quick-action history are processed on-device for core functionality.

Licensing and activation

If you start a trial or activate a license, the app sends the device installation ID, license key, device name, and app version required to register the trial or validate that paid access.

The app stores the installation ID, license cache, and validation timestamps in the macOS Keychain so paid customers can keep working during the offline grace window.
